Another solid episode.
While we know that Pikachu is probably Ash last pokemon facing Charizard, I really thought that the grass type gorilla would be the one to take down Mega Lucario in a double knockout.
Cool victory for Dragonite that Seismic Toss like Draco Meteor was amazing.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

And brings back memories when Ash's Charizard use to used Seismic Toss.

Darkred Emperor • 1 year ago

Yeah it was Ash's Charizard most devastating move until the match with Brandon in which backfired completely.

Con D Oriano • 1 year ago

That moment was really dissapointing

Darkred Emperor • 1 year ago

Agreed, I really wanted to see Charizard battling one of Brandon's Regis.

Sev7N • 1 year ago

If Ash were to use his charizard nowadays he'd definetely make it remember seismic toss, most of his season 1 pokemons are probably around 70-80 by this point...

Dragoneye1024 • 1 year ago

sure if lvls would to even be considered, but if the writers would actually let the idiot use his older pokemon, then Ash would have had a way easier time with alot of the season.

Sev7N • 1 year ago

considering his rooster, I'd use Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, Gengar, Lucario...

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Probably?

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Congrats Dragonite! ^^ You didn't get knock out or nerfed this time around.

Con D Oriano • 1 year ago

Congrats indeed, but I think Dragonite need to knock out another pokemon to fully redeem himself

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Indeed. Since Dragapult was facing 3 pokemon with that Dragon Tail shuffle.

Shubham Kumar • 1 year ago

well he is 3 pokemon combined into one

Con D Oriano • 1 year ago

An episode that is aptly named, Drapult truly toying with Satoshi, a beast fighting 3 pokemon. If Dande didn't approve using all 3 upgrade I feel like Satoshi might lose by now.

Congrats to Dragonite for redeem herself from the match against Cynthia. Lucario loss was dissapointing I guess he had too much spotlight now they giving the role to others. Too bad now Satoshi only have Z-moves left which must be given to Charizard whereas Dande still have sweeping gorrila and ultimate lizard left. Anyways a great episode

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Lets not forget Cinderace/Aceburn since it has not been taken down yet.
Surprise that we got mislead by the OP showing Lucario vs Daimax Charizard, but it's more fitting since Pikachu is Ash/Satoshi ace after all

Con D Oriano • 1 year ago

Of course, 10,000,000 Volt VS Daimax Charizard, Unless director really want Satoshi to lose, I think Pikachu should win this one

Sev7N • 1 year ago

if we check Pikachu's records, his 10 million voltz Z move defeated tapu koko on a resisted matchup, and charizard is weak to lightning because of the dual flying type, I bet on Ash's victory using the Z move agains gigantamax charizard..

Suraj Vinod • 1 year ago

based on the preview Eternatus might either go rouge or help Leon and ash with multiple uses of Dynamax.

Serif Mango • 1 year ago

we might see gigantamax pikachu again

Akito • 1 year ago

Yeah that's possible as it may be similar to how all the Tapus in Alola recharged the Z Power of Prof Kukui and Ash during the final battle

Crimson • 1 year ago

We were also misled to believe that dragapult has curse body like gengar from this episode’s preview last week, where we saw mega lucario “freeze” when trying to use bullet punch, kinda like mr. rime couldn’t use freeze dry again after hitting gengar for the first time with the move. Ended up being paralysis.
Also, we don’t learn that from next episode’s preview, but what about Leon’s cinderance? We only see Charizard and rillaboom in the preview. Does it mean anything? 🤔😱

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Next ep will be the climax of the final battle.

Crimson • 1 year ago

Oh yeah, I know that. I was just wondering 😁

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

There goes the super rasengan vs charizard. I was expecting him to fight Aceburn, but that kinda is a bummer. Dissapointing he lost to early.

Zandurr • 1 year ago

So much for putting it in the OP :sob:

Shubham Johri • 1 year ago

Well I mean it is not fair for Ash to not battle at his full potential. If he can use all three (Z Move, Mega Evo, Gigantamax) then he should be allowed to use them all in an all-out battle.

ThatMan666 • 1 year ago

Yeah, Dragonite was REALLY overdue to get another win. Yet, I feel she's the weakest member of Ash's Journeys team whereas the strongest goes to Lucario.

Michael Gutowski • 1 year ago

HERSELF, she has been confirmed female, and she still has more balls than half the team. I mean, its a Ghost Type... How'd smashing it into the ground hurt it?

Gangan • 1 year ago

I think Pikachu might get to use both zmove and gmax seeing the eternatus in the preview. Or it might empower someone else to turn dynamax.

theultimategamer95 • 1 year ago

THAT MR RIME WAS A PROBLEM WTF! Epic sword leap from Sirfetch'd tho!

So we've see Dragon Tail multiple times in the anime before, but I believe this is the first time we're seeing the switching effect on it? Pretty cool.

Such a shame we aren't gonna see Mega Lucario vs Charizard like in the intro dude... SCAMMED I TELL YA!

LMAO, love how Dnite used herself as a meteor to finally land a win! Thanks writers for not doing her dirty for once :)

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

I was waiting for Lucario vs charizard

Darkerooz • 1 year ago

if only she dragon danced midfall to gain stat boosts while reducing the damage too...

Night • 1 year ago

Ash's Dragonite was definitely the MVP this time

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

Charizard/Dragonite seismic toss was awesome to see!!

StoneColdWolfer • 1 year ago

I hate the fact that Dragonite essentially pulled off a seismic toss and Charizard was cropped out of the Oak Lab celebration... This was his thing man this was Him knocking out Claire's Dragonair, should have shown him to react to that move.

Mart1231 • 1 year ago

Yess, that move also reminded me of charizard's seismic toss. The good thing is that Dragonite finally got her win in the tournament.

Dai • 1 year ago

TF are you doing next episode Eternatus? Don't fk this match man we've been waiting for years.

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

giving pikachu a dymax boost

Takaflame • 1 year ago

Crazy how Lucario got knocked out and the opening song showed him vs Charizard.

Asian Lady Jean • 1 year ago

Maybe during another fight between them or something else.

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

Already noticed that all Ash pokemon were severely weakend and then Leon points it out to Ash and rubs it in! xD

Shubham Johri • 1 year ago

When you start sensing defeat, you try to win by cheap mind games like Leon.

Miles • 1 year ago

I swear Ash better not lose because Go gave Leon Eternatus 😭

i <3 Nico Robin • 1 year ago

no way man how tf is pikachu gonna go against a gigantimax charizard

Serif Mango • 1 year ago

how the fuck would his other pokemon do that. Pikachu is Ash's ace, of course it would face Leon's ace. Since etarnatus is awakening, we might see pikachu gigantamaxing.

ShycoWar • 1 year ago

I wonder what this strange new move Dracovish awakened to is supposed to be. I'm not really seeing anything in the wiki that would fit what we saw, so my guess is it's either something it can't usually learn (Jaw Lock could work, for instance, being a "trapping" bite move), or it's simply an anime-exclusive, innate ability.

Lizard Luminosity • 1 year ago

The anime does sometimes introduce some new things that the games didn't have before, such as dusk form lycanrock. I imagine it's a new ability, rather than a move, since dracovish was using it alongside other moves and a pokemon can't use multiple moves at the same time.

Akito • 1 year ago

Dusk form Lycanrock was in the Sun & Moon games from the beginning, it was just that it was hard to find a Rockruff in the wild with the ability Own Tempo and only Own Tempo Rockruff can evolve into Dusk Form when levelled up during Twillight or 4-6 PM in game.
Also though pokemons were never shown to use two moves at the same time, but my guess is those spikes may work like Dracovish's arms (which may have been long lost due to evolution over generations due to not being of much use to the species as it's a fossil pokemon). It can't be an ability as it already have the Strong Jaw ability so it can't have two abilities. The grip of it's spike may work similar to Venusaur or any grass type pokemon binding the other pokemon with their vines while simultaneously using a move (idk in which ep, but i do remember one of the Venusaur in the anime using Solar beam or Solar Blade on a pokemon while gripping it with it's vines)

maincharacter150 • 1 year ago

Actually, Dusk Form Lycanroc was unobtainable in the Sun and Moon games. It was only available for the first time in Ultra Sun and Moon by evolving an Own Tempo Rockruff between 5-6 p.m in-game, but Own Tempo Rockruff was an event-only pokemon and you couldn't find them in the wild. However, you could breed more Own Tempo Rockruff from an event Rockruff (sort of like how you could get Phione by breeding Manaphy in earlier games).

Akito • 1 year ago

Oh okay.. I played the US UM games and not the regular SM, so i just assumed that own tempo rockruff would be available in SM as well.
